Dry Eye

Real relief for one of the most underestimated eye problems.

Dry eye is one of the most common reasons people struggle with their vision, and one of the most underestimated. It can cause burning, grittiness, redness, watery eyes and vision that blurs or fluctuates, especially while reading or using screens.

More than just "dry"

Dry eye has many causes: the oil glands in the eyelids, inflammation, screen habits, hormones, medications, the environment and other medical conditions. Some autoimmune diseases, such as Sjögren's, can show up in the eyes first. Finding the cause is the key to finding what works.

My research has focused on exactly this. I've studied how dry eye affects reading and everyday tasks, how Sjögren's involves the eye, and how dry eye is diagnosed and cared for across different communities.

How I approach it

  • A careful exam of your tear film, eyelids and the surface of the eye
  • A look at the whole picture: your health, medications, sleep, screens and environment
  • A treatment plan built in steps, from daily habits and drops to prescription medicines and in-office treatments
  • Close attention to dry eye before any cataract or laser surgery, so your measurements and recovery go smoothly

I built a dedicated dry eye clinic because this condition deserves real time and attention.
