Cataract, Cornea & Refractive Surgeon
My philosophy
Treating the whole person, not just the eye.
As a board-certified eye surgeon in Sarasota, Florida, I look at the full picture. Sleep, stress, nutrition, screens and overall health all shape how we see, so your care fits your life. Whole-person care →

Expert care, with a personal touch
I'm an eye surgeon in Sarasota, Florida, specializing in cataract, cornea and refractive (LASIK and PRK) surgery. I trained at Johns Hopkins, Columbia University, and the Wilmer Eye Institute.
What I value most is customized, high-quality care. No two patients are alike. Your eyes, your lifestyle, your goals and your overall health all shape the right plan for you, so I take the time to understand them.
I believe in treating the whole person, not just the eye. The eye is connected to everything else: sleep, stress, nutrition, screen time, other medical conditions. Much of my research has been about exactly those connections, and they guide how I practice every day.
Outside the operating room, I teach young surgeons, write and speak about eye care, help bring corneal transplants to people around the world, practice yoga, and, most importantly, raise two kids with my husband.
This site brings all of those pieces together. Look around, and thank you for stopping by.

In the operating room
Precise by nature. Personal by design.
I'm meticulous about the details, because in eye surgery, details are everything. I get to know every patient I operate on, and I create a custom surgical plan for each one, designed around your eyes, your goals and your life.
